One of our players, Holly Hutchinson, recently completed a Training Block, where the primary focus was on strength development. Not only did this involve general ‘global’ strength but also strength-speed, stabilisation strength and specific functional ‘tennis-strength’. Holly showed superb dedication through the block and absolutely smashed it! That was pleasing enough but then a few days later I got this short e-mail through from her:

Hi Dom,
Just like to say a huge thank you for everything you did for me during the training block. I know you had to change plans and lessons so you could see me which I really appreciate.

Such a nice note to receive and a great attitude from Hol. Having this mutual respect really does make it a pleasure to train someone.
